Service Information

During the course of the year, numerous events and marches take place in Central London, which require our routes to be diverted. Some of the stops may not be able to be served.

We are in constant contact with Transport for London and have blocked out dates when tours will be impossible, but would just like to issue a general disclaimer that we may have to divert our route on some tours without prior warning.

Fortunately we are London experts and our staff will be pleased to give you the information you require to ensure you can use our services with confidence. We would like to let you know about any changes to the routes in advance where possible. 

Friday 18 January until further notice – Closure of Hyde Park Corner stop

Construction Works - Piccadilly, Bomber Memorial - Stop 33 closed when works are adjacent.

Replacement stop nearby or in Duke of Wellington Place, when stop 33 is closed.

Saturday 20 July 2019 until further notice – Stop Closure – Stop 12

From Saturday 20th July until further notice Stop 12 outside London Bridge Experience will be closed for the use of tour buses for safety reasons. This will affect buses on Blue, Red and Lilac routes.

TfL service buses will continue to serve this stop.

Nearest alternative stop will be stop 24 on opposite side of the road, Orange route, Or stops 11 Monument, London Bridge or 13 City Hall, Tooley Street.

Monday 22 July to Wednesday 29 January 2020 – Road Works - Piccadilly

Road works – Piccadilly – Stop alteration.

Stop 32 will be closed, the Big Bus stand east of stop 32 will be used by all passing tour buses.

The Big Bus stand will be relocated to Berkeley Street.

Monday 12 August to Monday 18 November 2019 – Road Closure - Bridge Street

Road closure – Bridge Street – All routes on diversion.- Expect delays.

At times when Westminster bridge is closed, Stop 17 will not be served..

Alternative stops: Stop 76 - Lilac Route – opposite.

Stop 26 - Blue, Red and Orange Routes – Lambeth Palace Road.

Stop 3 - Blue, Red and Lilac Routes – Parliament Street.

Saturday 9 November 2019 – War Widows Wreath Laying

Ceremony – Whitehall – Stop 3 will not be served during ceremony.

Saturday 9 November 2019 - Lord Mayors Show

Large Procession - Road Closures in City - Diversions on all Tours.

The following stops will have no service until after 1500 approximately: 7, 8, 9 & 10.

Sunday 10 November 2019 – Remembrance Sunday

Closure of Whitehall – diversions in force during closure.

Numerous other ceremonies taking place during the day at other locations.

The following stops will have no service on this day: 3, 4, 18, 19 & 31.

Stop 7 Duncannon Street will only be served by Blue and Orange route buses.

Saturday 7 December 2019 – Falkland Islands Wreath Laying

Ceremony – Whitehall – Stop 3 will not be served during ceremony.

Tuesday 31 December 2019 – New Year’s Eve Celebrations & Fireworks.

On Tuesday 31 December 2019, the New Year Eve Fireworks display will be held. Large areas of Central London will be closed to traffic in stages from 1400 hrs.

Stops 3, 4, 18, 19, 30 & 31 will not be served after 1400.

Wednesday 1 January 2020 - New Year Day Parade

On Wednesday 1 January 2020 large areas of Central London closed to traffic all day to facilitate the New Year Day Parade.

Stops 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 17, 18, 30, 31, 32, 33 & 75 will not be served until roads re-open.

This list only includes known events at the time of issue.

No doubt other events will take place during the year, notification will take place as and when dates are confirmed.

Details of diversions and stop closures will be published nearer the date.

Sunday 9 February 2020 – Winter Run

Major Event – Westminster and City - All routes on diversion.

Stops 22, 23, 24, 24, 41, 42, 43, 44, 70, 73 and 74 will not be served until 1330 approx.

Stops 3, 4, 5 and 38 will not be served until 1630 approx.

Sunday 15 March 2020 – St Patrick’s Day - Parade

Parade - Central London - Blue and Red routes on diversion.

Stops 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 20, 21, 32 and 33 will not be served from 1130 until 1500 approximately.

Sunday 29 March 2020 – London Half-Marathon

Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day.

Stops 3, 4, 5, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 36, 44 and 70 will not be served until roads re-open.

Sunday 26 April 2020 – London Marathon

Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day.

Stops 3, 4, 29, 30, 32, 33, 36, 37, 39, & 41 will not be served all day.

Monday 25 May 2020 – Vitality London 10k

Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day.

Stops 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 17, 18 & 76 will not be served until after 1400 hrs when roads re-open.

Saturday early July 2020 – Pride in London

Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day.

Stops 5, 6, 7, 30 & 31 will not be served during road closures.

Sunday mid July 2020 – British 10k

Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day.

Saturday 1 August 2020 – Reparation March

March and Rally – Parliament Square – Delays possible,

Sunday 9 August 2020 – London Triathlon

Major event – Diversions and stop closures possible on both days.

Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August 2020 – Prudential Ride London Free Cycle

Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day both days.

Sunday mid October 2020 – Royal Parks Half-Marathon

Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day.

Thursday 31 December 2020 – New Year’s Eve Celebrations & Fireworks.
