At the Westminster Abbey entrance, you’ll be offered a multimedia guide that will provide you with interesting facts and information about Westminster Abbey and its long history with the Royals. As you go on a self-guided tour around the Abbey, you’ll be able to learn more about the displays in front of you.

As you make your way around, you’ll see the original Coronation Chair which was built for King Edward I in 1296. Having crowned every monarch since 1308 including Queen Victoria and the current King Charles III, this chair is one of the oldest and most famous pieces of furniture in the world!

Westminster Abbey is the final resting place for 30 Kings and Queens and many famous individuals, including Stephen Hawkings and Sir Isaac Newton. During your visit, you’ll be able to view the Royal tombs in the Lady Chapel.
